It’s been a media frenzy in The Frank and Walters world this past weekend. On Friday we were guests on TV 3′s Ireland AM which you can view above. It was an acoustic session playing our new single “Loneliness and Sweet Romance” which is available for download on May 18th.
We left the TV3 Studios and headed straight for Galway where we had a great night playing in The Roisin Dubh. The crowd were fantastic as they always are in Galway and we partied on late into the night.
On Saturday morning we made it to the Limerick Strand Hotel where we chatted to Sile Seoige on Newstalk FM.
And then we raced across Limerick to Spin 102′s studio. And all before Breakfast!

The Frank and Walters Visit Greenwich
Well folks it’s nearly two weeks since we started our UK tour supporting our new album “Greenwich Mean Time”. We’ve been blown away by the support we’ve gotten from people in Leeds, Liverpool, Portsmouth and London.
While we were on tour we decided that the next single from Greenwich Mean Time will be “If I’d known” which has been getting a great reaction at gigs. It’s also been featured as song of the week Today FM’s Ian Dempsey Show so tune in and let us know what you think!
We spent Sunday visiting Greenwich Village, which we’re told was named after a Frank and Walters album. And what did we do there? We rolled Rory down a hill.
The tour has been hugely enjoyable so far and we’re only half way through! Hopefully there’ll be some more hills around these venues where we can roll Rory.
The inspiration behind new Frank and Walters Album “Greenwich Mean Time”
With only 3 days to go before the release of the new Frank and Walters album songwriter Paul Linehane tell’s us what his inspiration was behind the new songs.
“Grenwich Mean Time is essentially an album about time. Over the past few years I’ve become obsessed with time and trying to understand it. I don’t like the way that it has so much control over our lives, pulling us with it at it’s pace. I’ve been thinking that we probably spend too much time planning the future or thinking about the past. In that way we are wasting so much of our lives because I feel we need to live for now, otherwise we are not really living. If now is not a good place well then it is good to think of a brighter future or about the good times of the past. However I think that finding a balance leaning more to the present is what real living is all about.”

Frank and Walters appear on every radio channel known to man with Indie Love Song
It’s quite possible we broke a record this week as we became radio superstars promoting new single “Indie Love Song“. Seriously, we’re the biggest thing since Jedward’s hair.
Indie Love Song was picked as Ian Dempsey’s Single of the Week and we had the honour of meeting the king of Irish day time radio Tony Fenton on Today FM.
We also popped into 2FM’s Dave Fanning and into Newstalk where Ash gave away the secret formula to Ireland winning Euro 2012.
Thanks so much to all of the DJ’s who’ve been playing Indie Love Song and plugging our upcoming gigs. And thanks to everyone for the very kind words on Facebook and Twitter.
Brand new music video for “Indie Love Song”

Indie Love Song on The Late Late Show, video and photo shoot
What a weekend! It all started on Friday night with our very first appearance on The Late Late Show. After more than 20 years in music we were delighted to be asked on Ireland’s longest running TV show to get a chance to play our brand new single “Indie Love Song”. In case you missed the show live you can watch it below.
It was a great experience and everyone on the show was extremely nice. Unfortunately, Corey Feldman was guarded by 2 big bouncers so we didn’t get a chance to pull on that weird piece of hair he has.
The very next day we started recording the video for “Indie Love Song” in Crosshaven Co Cork. Many of you already know the new album will be called “Greenwich Mean Time” and that the concept of time runs through many of the songs. The video will feature 4 “Paul’s” at different ages (see below).
We can’t wait to see the final edit as it was a lot of fun to film!
But the Franks fun didn’t end there. We spent Sunday on a photo shoot in Fort Camden an old Naval base that has been closed to the public since 1988. The shoot was directed by photographer Joleen Cronin who perfectly set the “Greenwich Mean Time” theme in abandoned tunnels and decimated houses surrounded by clocks.
The week ahead will see the “Indie Love Song” PR continue with radio appearances on 2FM and a band favourite “The Dave Fanning Show”.
So what have The Franks learned this weekend? Orange ties work!
If you want to catch these orange ties in action The Franks are live at the following venues
